A delegation of senior officials from the Namibia TVET Sector visited Nifas Silk Polytechnic College as part of an experience-sharing and collaboration initiative. The visit aimed to strengthen partnerships and exchange best practices in technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

During the session, Mr. Shelema Nigussu, Dean of Nifas Silk Polytechnic College, welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the college’s achievements. He highlighted the colleges success in producing competent, industry-ready graduates, and shared insights on key focus areas such as cooperative training, curriculum development, technology transfer, and public–private partnership implementation.

Mr. Shelema also briefed the delegation on the college’s incubation center, admission criteria, and its contribution to short-term training programs designed for trainees from the Addis Ababa City Administration.

Following the discussions, the Namibian team toured the college’s Garment, Leather Technology and Manufacturing Workshops, where they observed practical training activities and interacted with instructors and trainees. The delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality and commended the college for its innovative practices and strong commitment to skills development.

The visit marked an important step in fostering international collaboration and promoting knowledge exchange within the African TVET community.
